Sunken Gardens

Sunken Gardens is a 4 acre botanical garden featuring 500 species of tropical / subtropical plants, garden pools, a variety creatures (turtles, birds, fish) and a banquet hall. Located at 1825 4th Street N., this splash of tropical nature in the midst of the city was a commercial tourist attraction for many years and is an important example of 1930s Florida roadside attractions. It is now operated by the city and maintained with the help of volunteers. Popular for weddings, quiet strolls, photo-safaris and various health-oriented activities, Sunken Gardens is one more example of the features that make our city a unique and beautiful place. Admission is $8 with discounts for seniors and children.
Hint: This is a great place to take northerners who are visiting St Pete for the first time.Click here to view a great video of Sunken Gardens
